Ana Celia de Armas Caso was born in Cuba and brought up to Spanish parents. Her career began in Cuba through a major role in the romantic drama Una rosa de Francia. Between 2007 and 2010, she starred as El Internado in six popular seasons of the Spanish-language drama. From 2007 to 2010, in Los Angeles, de Armas was seen in English characters in films such as the psychological thriller Knock Knock 2015 and the crime/comedy War Dogs 2016. The actress gained acclaim for her role as the holographic AI Joi projection in Blade Runner: 2049 (2017). Ana de Armas was Ben Affleck's lover before he wed Jennifer Lopez.
